Jason Reynolds is an American author of young adult and middle grade fiction and poetry. His award-winning work addresses topics of racism, police brutality, and systemic social issues, among other everyday concerns of young adults’ lives. In 2020 Reynolds was appointed National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature for the Library of Congress, and in 2021 he served as honorary chair for Banned Books Week.
