Libby is a free app that allows readers to enjoy the ebooks & audiobooks that you add to your OverDrive collection. Learn more!
Once your digital library setup is complete, your users will be able to access your collection through the Libby app or through your customized OverDrive library URL. Users can read or listen to ebooks, audiobooks, or magazines in the Libby app or from any web browser. If you purchased video content for your digital library, users can view through the OverDrive app or from a web browser.
Gaining new users and increasing engagement with existing users is an important part of maintaining your digital library. There are free resources available on the Resource Center including printable marketing materials, social media and web graphics, email and communication templates, and more. OverDrive Marketplace is the online catalog featuring 4.5 million digital titles from over 30,000 publishers where you can purchase content for your digital collection. If you are new to Marketplace, you can find answers to common questions as well as watch training modules to learn more about purchasing titles, creating carts, curating your collection, reporting tools, and invoicing. If you don’t have a Marketplace username but require one, please contact your OverDrive Marketplace administrator and ask them to create an account for you. Not sure who that is? A lending model is a set of purchasing and borrowing terms for digital content and is determined by the publisher or supplier. We offer several different lending models in OverDrive Marketplace. Some titles are available under multiple lending models, allowing you to customize and find the best fit for your digital library. Learn more.
Yes! OverDrive has a Recommend to library feature, enabling users to recommend digital titles in the OverDrive catalog for purchase that you don’t currently own. Tools are available in OverDrive Marketplace for you to set guidelines, track recommendations, and create a purchasing plan. Learn more.

OverDrive Marketplace users with “Purchase” permissions can purchase content credit from the Shop tab drop-down menu. Purchased content credit is added to your account immediately, so you can use it right away. Your library or school will be invoiced for the content credit. To see the estimated content credit in your account at any time, click Settings in the top-right corner of Marketplace. Please note that this estimate might not reflect recent purchases and deposits.
You can use the Insights tab to view summary information for your library or school’s digital collection, understand trends, monitor goals, and run detailed reports. To adjust the settings for a report, select the ‘Run new report’ option on the right-hand side. This will allow you to input new parameters and organize the report by month, branch, format and more.
